If you look around your home, then you probably have plenty of candles sitting about. They may be in case of emergencies when the electricity fails or they could be for setting the right mood when the need arises. Chances are pretty good that you may even have tealight candles at home.

Why would you need them? They can be used for a variety of reasons and are great little candles to have around in case you need, or want, to use them. A tealight candle is always a necessity for any home.

Did you know that burning an apple pie candle can help curb hunger? Whether or not this is true or is an urban legend, it never hurts to have the warm scent of apple pie in your home.

But if you want to try new scents, then it can be a difficult choice and one that could cost you lots of money if you do not like the scent in the end. However, if you buy a tealight candle of your chosen scent first, then you will have an idea before you buy the full sized version.

Tealight candles can be used to burn oil in oil burners. Simply pour in the essential oil into the ceramic or terra cotta bowl, add a little water and light the candle beneath. It will provide just enough of a heat source to warm up the oil and diffuse it throughout the room.

You can also use tealight candles in decorative dishes, in beveled glass candle holders or in those miniature fountains that go onto your desk. Light the candles, turn on the fountain and enjoy a sparkling show of flowing water and light.

If you are thinking about making your own tealight candles, then you may want to know something first. These little candles are very inexpensive to buy. You can visit a dollar store and pick up a package of ten for one dollar. That may be worth the price versus making your own.

So what are you standing around for? Go on and buy yourself some scented, tealight candle products. You already know they can be used for a variety of reasons and applications. Plus, they are relatively cheap no matter where they are purchased. You can have their tiny glow illuminating your home in no time at all. Check out Ebay for some really great deals and have fun creating a great atmosphere for your home.
