In the animal kingdom, the alpha male is the head of the pack, herd, or pride, depending on the species. In the world of humans, the alpha males are those jocks students worshipped in high school, the so called intellectuals in college, and the rich and successful in business. The alpha male leads, sets the pace, makes firm decisions, and gets all the ladies. Do you want to be an alpha male?

What Makes An Alpha Male

First of all, the alpha male is a go getter. He has the guts and the grit to go after what he desires, whether it s a job, a woman, or a pair of trousers. He is not afraid to take risks. In fact, he embraces risks and considers them challenges that need to be overcome. He measures his accomplishments by the severity of the risks that he s taken and takes pride from them.

The alpha male is also self assured. He s confident, often overly so. He s not afraid to face new situations. In fact, he thrives in them. He almost always succeeds in whatever he endeavors to do because he knows he can do it and he will do it without a second thought.

Lastly, the alpha male is comfortable dealing with people. Though he can be lofty and proud sometimes, he still has the charm and the charisma to win over people from different walks of life. He knows how to treat them well a trait that seems to come naturally. That s why he has no problem communicating with superiors, subordinates, colleagues, family, friends, and women.

What It Takes To Be An Alpha Male

To be an alpha male, you must first and foremost set your mind to becoming one. This can be hard, especially if you were a runt during childhood or a geek back in high school. Your feelings of insecurity and uncertainty from then could hold you back and keep you from your destiny. Indeed, to be an alpha male, you have to let go of who you were to become who you want to be, who you believe you really are.

You also have to possess the traits inherent only in alpha males. Suffice to say, you have to be determined, confident, and charismatic. You have to be motivated enough to go after your goals with gusto, confident enough to know that you can do whatever you set your mind into doing, and charismatic enough to deal with people the right way while you re at it.

Most of all, you have to look the part of the alpha male. This means dressing appropriately at all times, regardless of the situation, occassion, or event. Of course, you must also observe proper hygiene. To command respect and attention, the alpha male must be clean and respectable in all aspects. After all, no one is likely to respect or pay attention to a man with bad breath or body odor.

So you see, the path to become an alpha male is not an easy one. It is, however, a worthwhile one.
