Keeping active for the summer can be just as difficult as making the effort to wake up early in the morning of the winter season to go to the gym. The heat along with the rare sunny blue sky can make one feel rather subdued, lethargic, tiresome and often drained. The summer can dehydrate many as we are not used to the heat and being exposed to the sun for a prolonged amount of time. The best way to be more active and still enjoy the sun is to go on activity holidays abroad.

These are best enjoyed during the long winter months or during kids summer holidays, when young people find it very hard to keep themselves occupied. Holidays does not need to be a place for nice long lying on the beach in the sun, but could also work well as being a break practising skiing techniques, or enjoying some mountain biking in Lake Garda. Ski holidays in Tignes tend to be interactive and is a popular choice for families or friends.

Of course, you cannot go on a ski holiday during the summer, unless you are travelling further north whereby the summer heat is rare. However, ski holidays in Chamonix are popular for the varied ski slopes, the possibilities for a beginner to learn how to ski properly are made open so that it does not attract the same crowd each year. However, it is mainly referred to as the capital of Alpine sport, which is why some beginners may feel left out if they do not pre-book lessons.

There are a number of ski schools available in Chamonix, which can be pricey but worth enrolling onto. If a beginner is keen on experiencing the mountains of Chamonix, they will benefit more from taking lessons and learning the basics of skiing. Professionals and expert skiers feel much more at home when sliding down the challenging slopes. These offer various different levels of skiing, with ski slopes that run off-piste. Some of the more challenging are slopes are best experienced by skiers of a professional nature, rather than by intermediates and beginners.

Chamonix is a place where modern nightlife takes place, as well as having people of all ages to experience the skiing slopes. Skiing is one of the main attractions of Chamonix, however, it also offers people the chance to sample the local cuisines, visit the town market, enjoy the spectacular views, enjoy sporting events, or wine and dine at Chamonix's very own luxury restaurants. This is placed as one of the top skiing resorts to visit, which beginners will enjoy even if they find the skiing part difficult. The best thing about this resort is that it offers a variety of activities making a top choice for finding a unique way to stay active.
