So why paper clips, why not just invest in staples? Sure, staples are a bit more secure, at least they appear that way initially. The thing about staples is they damage paper. They do not leave it intact or in its original form. In fact they can actually harm paper or accidentally chunk off sections of text when the stapler implants into the machine. This is not good.
A paperclip dispenser will gently offer you a paper clip which you can then neatly place on top of a stack of papers without harming them or losing their status. What more can you ask for? If you have an interest in promotional paper clip dispensers but feel overwhelmed by the selection, why not just start off with a basic one? You can always collect business card and tell the people you talked to that you will call them later about their offer.
